Sunday School

St. James offers a Sunday school program for children from 5 to 12 years old. There are two sections: one for the younger children and a second for the older children.

Sunday school begins at 10 AM and ends at 12:30 or when church services are over. The children are escorted into the church at about xx to take communion.

Historically, our Sunday school teachers have been mothers of the children attending Sunday school. Currently the Sunday school staff consists mainly of Ladies’ Society members.

Our children are our future. Someone needs to teach them the basics of our faith, the Saints, the Lord’s Prayer (in English and Armenian). Giving a few hours each month will help educate our children and ensure that they become good Christians.

If you are at all interested in helping our children learn about our faith, you can call Marion Ivazian at (916) 442-3131 for more information.
